Jesus did have a major impact on human history, but we have yet to see how the work of Teller and Oppenheimer will pan out.

A comma would do wonders for you...
Possibly. I've seen a list that puts Jesus third after Muhammad and Isaac Newton. The logic behind putting Muhammad first is that he had real political power during his lifetime, which Jesus didn't.
Actually, I think you could say that St. Peter influenced human history more. If it hadn't been for him, Jesus would probably have been forgotten within a generation. And seeing as how his 'teachings' were completely regurgitated from previous prophets, the only special thing about Jesus is that Peter and the others chose him to be the poster boy.

No. Jesus is not the most influential person in human history. Real or otherwise.
I would say that up to this date, that title could be held by either Nebuchadnezzar, Alexander, or Julius Cesar. All of these people ruled the entire civilized world as they knew it, and their actions all influence the world to this day.

The last 2000yrs do not make up the whole of human history. However, I will say that BELIEF in jesus has influenced the last 2000 yrs greatly. Whether or not that is a good thing remains to be seen.

How do you plan on measuring that? Perhaps the Buddha has had more of an influence. Or, actually, I dare say that Socrates had more of an influence as he came before Jesus, and a lot of his teachings were later adopted by Christianity. What you are asking cannot be determined btw.

I can't think of another single person who has influenced human history more, so I have to agree with you.

No. Moses, Mohamad, Confucious, Buddha. These are great religious leaders who influence the world in many ways just as much as Jesus.

The problem with that theory is the bible itself. A book written by men with their own agenda. They even had no imagination. Stealing Jesus story from Mithraism, to extract money from gullible followers.
