You will lose weight if you cut out Butter, oil. fried foods, full fat salad dressing, cream cheese, sour cream, and all drinks with calories even juice/pop/beer. Losing weight is all about burning more calories than you eat so if you do not want to go on a strict diet you need to eliminate calories still or you will never lose weight. Good luck

Technically you can eat what ever food you want as long as you burn more calories throughout the day than you take in. It helps to stay away from the junk food though because it's high in calories and low in nutrients. Try adding more fruits and vegetables inplace of the junk food! Also it helps to keep track of all the calories you are taking in by keeping a food journal where you write down EVERYTHING that you put into your mouth. You can find some good ones online like at fitday.com Hope this helps and Good Luck!

You should stay away from anything containing more than 30% fat. You can find out the % of fat by looking at the fat grams (on nutrition label), multiply this # by 9 (there are 9 calories in each gram of fat), now divide the total # of calories by the # you just got, if you get a # higher than .3 (or 30%), try to avoid this food. It is OK to eat once in a while, but try limit it.

Eat veggies, fruits, lean meats, and whole grain products and get plenty of water.
Don't eat anything (at home or take out) that is breaded, fried etc.
Stay away from refined sugars (which means no sweets) and refined white flour products.
Do not drink any sodas. They are proven, whether diet or plain, to cause hunger. And stay away from artificial sweetners... they do the same.

anything with a lot of fat (total fat, saturated fat and trans fat)
simple sugar (cookies, pop, some juice and canned fruit)
also look for "partically hydrogenated oil" in the ingredients - stay away from those (crackers, chips, cake)
you can eat bread, but try and eat whole wheat

its not so much the type of foods you eat but the amount that you eat.

eat less but eat right, drink lots of water and keep the protein up fruits and vegetables are also needed.

dont forget grains so get smaller bowls of cornflakes

but the important thing is to exercise, drink liquids, eat less but correctly and most importantly

eat dont starve yourself or you'll damage body and brain cells.

try not to eat a lot of foods with flat-out unhealthy ingredients like high-fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils/trans fats, and meats with sodium nitrate (ham, bacon, some lunch meats)
