Of course life has a "meaning" -- whatever meaning I choose to give my own life, that's it. And it's the same for everybody else. Which could be "no meaning" if that's what you want :)
But some outside force or god or whatever necessary to give my life meaning? Ha, it is to laugh :)

Statement - "Life has no meaning" - means that it does not matter of some one lives or does not lives. How Bad does that statement look ?
Animal have their Intelligence Covered and cannot look into the meaning of Life. But God gave Humans Intelligence to be able to differentiate between Good and Bad.
Vedic Literatures states that if you are not using that intelligence to find the Meaning of Life, then You are simply wasting this Human birth.
Any way, To find out the meaning of Life, one must first know what is life? Whose life it is... where did this life come from?
That is the purpose of Self Realization.

the meaning of life is to gain as much wisdom and knowledge as possible then teach the same to others before one goes to a different plane of existence so that mankind will be a little bit better off than when one came here.

Life does have a meaning. Just not some great, supernatural one. Try your best to be happy and be a good person. There's your meaning right there.

The only meaning that life has is the one you ascribe to it. It's wholly subjective.

Individual lives have no meaning on their own, and you can't find it. You have to make it for yourself.
