Actually, there is :)

Thinking about your girlfriend (in a good way) gives rise to two responses in your body: one is an emotional response remembering good things that have happened and anticipating more, and the other is a physical response that acts to prepare you for mating (the sexual act). Both of these actions in your brain release endorphins (the body's natural "high" drug) and adrenaline -- the endorphins make you feel warm, peaceful, and comfortable...while the adrenaline speeds up your heart rate, constricts blood vessels, and puts your whole body into a sort of "alert" state.
You know how some people say that love is all about "chemistry?" They're right :)

A good feeling near your heart usually means you love her. A bad feeling usually means you are suspicious or dont trust her or you think she's up to something.

You don't love her you are in Love with her.

Don't get too carried away as i found out. The people you care about most are the ones who can hurt you the most.

Because you feel for her in this way you may expect too much from her. she is only human.

It's called attachment, with strong neural connections in your brain with the memories and feelings you have for your girlfriend. They communicate back and forth from your brain to your heart.

Probably a release of hormones in the brain that trigger that feeling.

Either that, or it's a case of "pussywhoopitus maximus."
