Most stores and supermarkets put a telephone number on the handle of their trolleys that you can ring and they'll send someone out to collect it. If there's no number just find the number in the phone book and ring them. If they won't come and get it call the council and report it as fly-tipping!
If all else fails take it to your local uni halls of residence, it'll provide hours of amusment for drunken students (if possible put a road cone near by!).

very understandable this used to happen all the time where i used to live. Call the store it's from and let them know it was left in front of your house, there are services they employ to retreive their carts when they go astray,( but you should not have to transport, or pay for anything!!)I used to hate when that would happen i woke up one morning and a shopping cart had been run up onto our driveway and into the side of my car. I cussed. Big time.

Call the police. Someone stole it and stores are really serious about the theft of those things because they are very expensive. Let to police either take care of it or give you permission to throw it out since it isn't yours...

you should think you're self lucky mate. if the trolley was still at the supermarket it would only have been rammed into somebodies car and damaged it. that trolley being outside you're door is saving the savage attack on some poor sods car

What did you do with it?
Not a pedantic question.
Just genuinely curious as to how the situation played out.

kids i bet, the problem is how do you discipline a kid these days without getting into trouble with the authorities? they have no respect for elders either. if you try speaking to them they will either give you a load of abuse.(there, my rant over!)
