I think it is because their mom always did everything for them growing up and now they just think it is a womans job since we do it without even thinking. But if you want him to do more just don't do it and see if he does it.

Look back to how he was raised. My current boyfriend didn't have to do anything because his mom was a stay home mom & thought it was her "Duty" to do everything. Now she regrets it because ALL 3 of her boys grew up not helping around the house. Our biggest argument between him & I. He complains but wont' do anything - I just laugh at him & tell him if he doesn't like it fix it he's an adult & can do it just as well as me - I'm NOT his mommy. Now my ex husband was raised with chores around the house & had no problem helping me with the house even though I was a stay home mom back then. He said we both live there, mess it up & use it so we can both take care of it. My son has chores & likes being self sufficient and responsible so I know he won't be a lazy butt.

It's a learned thing from childhood. I know some boys that grew up learning to do things in the home, they're married now and still do work in the home. And then there are the men who finally realize that helping is the right thing to do especially if your spouse works also.

Becoz its us foolish women who have made the habbit of doing every thing for them , so now its become our royal duty to serve them everything on a platter. Ladies wake up , we too need a life and a little pampering.
