To answer this question honestly would require that I believe in the fairy tales of noah, and all the rest. Therefor, my answer is complete bunk.
Anyhow, it's pretty simple. He let the ant eaters eat them and then prayed to god to ressurect them once they made it back to land.
Hey, why not, other things just as crazy are accepted as normal by religious people :)
