Welcome to the world of ingrown hairs.

When your hair tries to grow back in, and is covered by dead skin cells, the follicle becomes trapped beneath, producing a swollen red bump.

Gently exfoliate with a washrag or loofah sponge to expel the dead skin, and allow the hair to regrow.

Next time, consider waxing. Far less painful, lasts longer, and hardly any bumps.

A razor is a harsh way to go about it and your skin wasn't used to that. I would recommend getting waxed, using nair or still using the electric trimmer. Besides, a razor tends to create ingrown hairs there. Good Luck!

When shaving with a razor of any kind, rub the area with a solid underarm deoterant. This will keep the area from getting razor burned and from itching. This sounds odd but really works, I do this all of the time. great for bikini areas, and legs.

Its just razor burn... That happens when I trim my goatee as well. The more sensitive the skin area, the redder and itchier itll get. Should stop in a couple days. If not, just use lotion.

You probably just dried the skin out - be sure and misturise well.

The other possible cause is sharing razors....never, ever use someone else's razor, as they are a breeding ground for infection.

your best bet is to use a straight sharp razor with a good cream...once you get used to it is is like shavin your legs....sometimes electric razors pull the hairs and irritate the skin causing more razor burn than its worth
happy shaving

Friction from the razor. Use some mild hand cream after your bath or use baby powder instead.
