My oldest son is Andrew Colton. We were going to name him Malachi Nathaniel, but everytime we told people this, they would recoil and say "That's the leader in Children of the Corn! Your kid is going to grow up to be the anti-Christ!" I don't believe that he would, but as often as we heard it, I figured he would hear it a lot, too. So we hit the name books again (less than a month before he was born). My husband came up with Andrew, because my dad's name was Andy (he died when I was 13, and my husband never got to meet him). We went with Colton, because 1: it sounded good together, and 2: My mother's side of the family's last name is Cole, so it honors them.
Our other son is Aidyn Isaiah. My husband has a great-great grandmother named Ada, who had a twin sister named Ida. He wanted to use one of them if our baby was a girl, but I prefer more modern names... We never did agree on one, but it worked out since he wasn't a girl :) We "blended" the two names into Aidyn. Isaiah came from the Bible. Aidyn didn't have a middle name, and about a week before we went in for the scheduled c-section, we were sitting at church, and the pastor said "turn to Isaiah..." and I was like-- Yeah!! I wrote Aidyn Isaiah on the corner of my Bible page... My husband looked and grabbed the pen and wrote "That's IT!!!" I marked that page in my Bible. It's kinda special to me now... ♥

My Daughters name is Hayley Dezirae.
I've always liked the name Hayley. It's such a pretty name. It also means : faithful, loving, and companionable!
And Dezirae comes from desire. Which means : alluring, exciting and visionary.
Ever since I was 12, I wanted to name my daughter Hayley. I got the name from a soap opera I used to watch. The actress who played that character is Kelly Ripa. She was my favorite on the show, I was sad to see her go.
So I waited for 12 years hoping noone else in my family would take the name.

Gennypher Rene---- She is named after my two best friends.. I became pregnant in high school and my two friend stood by me instead of turiing away
Keeth Robert ---- Named after a friend of my husbands who passed away.. and his paternal grandfather...
Micaila Linn---- Named for Micheal my father... Spelling is unusual in first and middle name because all letters in both are in her lastname... a couple months of bedrest and a lot of time on my hands gave me the idea for the spelling... My mother wanted Micaila Nikole M. because she wanted to call her Candy... LOL
As you can tell I like unusual spelings I wanted all of my children to have a name all thier own but not a name that sounded too strange so I gave them each a unique spelling of a common name...

We named our three children after relatives. Zachary was named after my grandfather, Emma Marie Pearl was named after my grandmother Emma, the Marie is my mother's middle name, and my husband's grandmother Willie Pearl. Our youngest Isabell Grace Ann was named after my Great Grandmother and my husband's mother. We wanted to incorporate the beautiful "old" names in the family. When we named our kids they weren't as popular as they are now. I really wanted them to have special names that we put a lot of thought into. I also wanted them to be able to spell them easily!

My daughters name is Jordyn. We liked that name for a girl and it's the only one we could agree on - Jordan. but I decided to spell it with a Y instead of an A to make it look more feminine whne it's written on paper. JORDYN.
My son's name will be Benjamin. My daughter liked that name, so that's what we are going with.

My son's first name was chosen by both me and my husband. We went through so many names but avoided this one because I actually thought my husband would hate it (it is a name I have liked for a long time). Turned out that he loved it. His first middle name was my father's first name and his second middle name is his Vietnamese name.
