So why are men sooo territorial with it comes to the person they date???

It's a basic instinct that goes back to the beginnings of history.... we want the woman to be ours and ours alone...and if you have any other males in proximity to you then we assume that they must be wanting to steal you away.

Well I must tell u that we men have this problem very often. May be that is the way we are made or maybe thats our hormones. Our primal instincts kick in when we perceive an external threat, real or imaginary, to what we hold precious and especially regarding the women we love. On the flip side if your friend did not react the way that he does now , you can rest assured that he doesnt give a damn for you.
And I bet that if u see him flirting with another beautiful woman, God forbid that he does, you will turn territorial too.

That's mans nature....to protect and preserve his perceived family
if he is to raise a family (children) he much rather place energy in HIS NATURAL family...
