Nice possible way, honestly there is not way to stop a heart from breaking... Don't do the 'lets be friends' thing either, be honest and tell her, sooner the better for you.

I personally believe a platonic relationship between a boy and a girl is possible. I've been besties with a guy since we were three, and we're both 16 now. What you need to do is have a serious talk with this girl, and discuss whether or not you both are ready for that kind of relationship, and the effect it would have on your relationship this bf/gf thing ended (because let's face it, not many relationships at our age really go on for a long time). You need to decide if risking your friendship with her would be worth it.

Either just contact the other person less and let it faid away or sit down and tell the other person that you don't want to continue a relationship anymore.
