Just to clear things up, I myself did not put my own contacts in water. I know what happens to water when it sits for long periods of time and the bacteria that can be on your lenses. A friend of mine claimed she put her contacts in water months ago and she forgot about them. When she opened the container they were in the contacts were gone. So there is really no telling what happened to them, I was just curious if that is what could happen. Thanks for all your input.

They will not dissolve at all. This is the truth.
Your friend must have lost them by mistake. Maybe when she/he opened the container.

They may not disolve but one thing is for sure you could develop an eye infection. You should never mess around with something like that. There is a reason for contact solution. You can never get your sight back if you loose it because of something like that. Is it something that you're really willing to consider? Use glasses if you can not afford the solution.

I used to positioned on contacts... for like 3 days and could not take care of it anymore. it makes your eyes sense like there is 10 pound weights excellent from them by utilising the tip of the day. to not point out the reality you're putting your arms on your eyes, consistently worried me. I found out to handle the reality that glasses are the appropriate thank you to bypass... except you sense it quite is considerable to not have them, then your appropriate guess could be laser surgical treatment.

The lenses will not dissolve. I think they will eventually grow fungi!
