You did not mention if y'all ever went to court for custody in the first place. If you were rewarded custody in the first place and he has visitation then you can call the police and get your daughter back.

If not then you can not really do anything until you take him to court. I hate to tell you this but if she was caught smoking pot while in your custody ( i know you was not there) but she was living with you that will make your case very difficult, because all dad has to do is say this is how she lives while she is with you and there is no supervision.

Even tho we know for a fact that kids will try all kinds of things behinds the parents back, some how in the custody battle it gets turned around to make you look unfit.

Good luck and start gathering her grades of what she had with you, you need things to prove you are a fit mother and show she was never in danger with you, and her pot smoking session was her being a kid a wanting to experiment.

Good Luck

It is illegal for her to not be going to school. Call and report that. And you can pick her up from school. If she goes to school finally that is. Pick her up in the middle of the day take her out to lunch make sure she knows you're not mad at her if that is the case of course. Get the ball rolling with the custody papers.Do you have full costody because if you do and he is violating hte agreements that are written down legally you should be able to call and tell them what he is doing. But you may have no choice but to wait until the process all goes through. Good luck!

The father shouldn't be pressuring her to make a decision between you two. Where I am from you have to be 14 (I think) before you can even have a lawful opinion in chosing which parent you wanted to live with. My parents are divorced and they always fought over me. It caused a lot of problems. I believe that if a parent really loves their child, they should not cause a situation like that.

You can contact the school and let them know you are not the one keeping her out of school so you don't get in trouble. You need to speak to an attorney at her age thought she can choose who she wants to live with. My youngest did something similar to this she is now calling me wanting to come home. Sometimes they just have to see the grass isn't greener on the other side.

If you have custody papers stating that you are her primary parent and he only has visitation rights, you should have the option of calling the police and reporting him in contempt of court. Check your custody papers. If you don't have papers, you may have to sue him for custody of her. And then there's a chance you may not win. Good luck!

Well if he only has her on weekends and he now took her from school and hasn't brought her back home with you or to school I would call that kidnapping call the police and let them deal with both her and her dad.

it depends on what kinda custody arrangement you have through the courts. if you have full custody he cant keep her that long without your permission . he could get in trouble for her not being in school.you need to call a lawyer .or get d.h.r worker , or h.r.s. worker to help your daughter and you.
