Dogs shed and you can't stop them from shedding. If your dog is half sheepdog, she requires a lot of regular brushing - both to take out dead hair and to keep her from being a matted mess.
When she's shedding (which is twice a year), she needs to be thoroughly brushed every day with a good quality pin brush. If she's got mats, you need a slicker which is used only to tease out mats. You need to be careful with this one because you can give a dog slicker burn if you're too rough with it.
The rest of the year (when she's not shedding) a thorough grooming about once a week should keep her in good condition.
You can also add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to her food daily, or better yet, give her a salmon oil capsule every day. That will keep her skin and coat in nice condition.

You can't stop it but you can control it. Groom her daily and feed a quality food. Our pets need quality pet food. Read the ingredients list and learn what the stuff on there is and what it does (or does not do) to/for our pets. A quick pet food 101. If the pet food contains corn/corn products or by products it is a poor quality food. Do not pay attention to advertising, they all say there food is great. Corn is a filler that can trigger skin problems. (allergies, skin problems, itching and excessive shedding) By products is anything from an animal not fit for human consumption, including cancerous tissue. Quality foods have meat as the first ingredient. California Natural, Solid Gold, Innova and Merrick are a few of the best brands available. popular brushing helps, and you ought to purchase Vitapet moult formula, that is an oil you upload to their nutrition. It takes approximately 2 or 3 weeks to commence working yet as quickly because it quite is a longtime area of their weight loss application you will discover that the moulting will basically happen with the changing seasons, ie spring & autumn. you ought to purchase Vitapet from maximum puppy shops for type of £3 a bottle.

you cannot stop her moulting. It is normal and natural for dead hair to fall out and be replaced by new hair. If you couldn't be bothered with brushing and combing every day, why did you get a long haired dog? You can always have her to a dog groomer once every month to have her clipped.

If you give her an oil that you buy from pet shops that you put on her food, it helps keep her skin moist and she wont moult so much, also it helps not to have heat in the house, as it drys out the air and makes her hair come out more.

You can't stop the dog shedding. Just groom it every few days. You should have considered the shedding factor before you bought the puppy.

Invest in a pair of hair clippers and give him a number 2 all over it's easier than brushing and cheaper than having his hair cut at a grooming parlour

What walkinglady said. We have several Huskies that also blow their coats twice a year and shed throughout the year.
Hey, when you gather several bags of fur, you can send it off to be spun into yarn!

I have a bored collie. The hair all over my house drove me completely nuts. I ended up shaving all his hair off short. He looks a little funny, but it saved my sanity.
