Do you mean " How cold should it be before I bring my outside dog in the house?"
I live in the southern part of New Mexico and it can get into the 16 degree range at night around here sometimes.
While I personally don't bring in my dogs(they aren't house broked), I usually get a bale of hay and break it up in their dog houses. I make a bed of about 18 inches of hay so that they dogs can snuggle up in the hay at night. (Both of my dogs were born and raised our doors - so
their coats get thicker and more dense as the weather get colder.)The other thing that you
need to do for the winter is make sure that your dog is fed good so that they have a good store of fat on them to help them make it through the winter. When I say a good store of fat - that just means that the dog must be of a good weight and in good health so that they will make it through the winter.
Another thing that is very important is to make sure that your dog has fresh water (not frozen) that it can drink.
I would really be careful if I had an elderly dog or a very young puppy. With both of these, you could let them out when it is nice so that they can build up to the cold. This way when you need to take them outside, they won't balk.
I hope that this is of some help.

That depends by what breed you have and what kind of protection the dog has outside right now. The sooner the better though.

if it gets 32 degrees or lower it is a good idea to bring your dog in. Mine are inside fellows, I think if it is cold out there for me then it is cold for them too hope this helps.
