They will both be fine. It will give them more time to bond. Even if your husband has to deal with a bit of crying, it will provide him with an opportunity to respect the job that you are doing as a mother.
Have fun on your trip and call in the morning and evening to check on them both.

Trust your husband, it's not like he hasn't been a father for six months! He is just as capable as you are to take care of your baby. Make sure you leave a number or take a cell so that he can contact you in case of an emergance.
Write down the babies schedule and make sure that you are stocked with all the supplies your husband will need for the weekend.
Calm down...they will be fine! Stressing out will not make for a very fun retreat.

I left my daughter home for the weekend for the first time at about 6 months old. I was nervouse too, but everything was fine. Dad's are better at caring for children than we think, and they know alot more than they think they do. It's also good bonding time.

I'd be nervis too because a mother of a 6 m/o should know how to spell that.

Just don't treat your husband like an idiot- we care about our kids just as much, and would never do anything to hurt them. My wife is over all that now, but at the time, it made me mad.
