Like if I tell my mom that I have a boyfriend she'll freak out or if I tell her that I like someone she'll make fun of me.

Why is that such a big deal? e_e

Not all parents feel that way. I would advise you to bring this to your mom's attention. Most time parents don't even realize that they are offending you.

Maybe she's not making fun of you (if she IS, then let her know you don't appreciate it)...but just "exulting", since you're now entering a new phase of your life.

For parents, it's both exciting AND scary to see their "little ones" going off and doing something relatively "adult"! It means that the child is starting that process of *gulp*!...leaving...and the parents could be very sad and worried inside, about all the stuff that could happen, as well as how they'll deal when you leave for good.

Cut her some slack, I say, and give her some tidbits of info about the person you like. This should give her something to think about and go tell her friends (she needs that!). Let her talk to you, but also let her know when she's overwhelming you! Some parents don't realize when they do this.

It's just that she loves you, so remember that!

And get ready for much MORE freaking, when she finds out you've had sex for the first time!

I apologize, I'm a mom with a 14 year old daughter- i do it too.
I usually poke fun -not freak out- only because I love her and I hate to admit that she is grown up enough to be interested in boys.

My husband continually makes it an project to spend his nights residing house with the females and then makes an afternoon on the weekend for us. good day, we must have a life too and we take an afternoon on the weekend the position will flow and get errands carried out or my husband will dangle out mutually with his pals. yet except that sometime all our loose time is committed to our children. They deserve it! ^.^ i comprehend they love having mommy and daddy be round. My mom replaced right into a stay at residing house mom and she might want to lay in her room staring at television at the same time as my sister and that i stayed in our room and performed video games. On an afternoon after day foundation no longer that a lot time replaced into spent mutually so i comprehend the way it feels to be a baby and be on the "decrease back burner" so that you would possibly want to talk. I make particular my youthful ones not in any respect ought to sense that way. There are also situations that I in basic terms enable my youthful ones be youthful ones and play by technique of themselves of their room. i don't think of this is healthful for me to entertain them 24/7. they should be ready to play and be innovative on their personal or they'll be very below pressure adults. i comprehend they prefer to play of their tent and then this isn't any mommies allowed. bear in mind once you're exciting your children that they prefer time to themselves too. this is healthful. ^.~ God Bless and satisfied New year.

it's cute. it's a reminder of how we used to be when we were young. and when we were young, we did stuff that we don't want you to do. and if you like someone, she's not making fun of you, she probably just thinks it's cute and is picking at you about it. You might have a little girl one day and you'll understand. :)

They are nervous because they want you to have fun and be popular, but don't want you to get in trouble.
The kidding is a reflex left over from childhood.

oh my gosh! my mom does that all the time. like i tell her who i think is cute and she totally freaks out. it bugs me sometimes, but i just say "see this is why i never tell you stuff, because i know you'll freak out" lol i think she does it because she thinks like "ohh my little baby's growing up" hahaha or something gay like that. who knows why parents are that way. good luck with yours though, they sound just as funny as mine.
