My fiance and I are looking to get married in Michigan. We live in Indiana, right over the boarder and want to find a small, beautiful place to get married that will not cost us an arm and a leg. We will have a total of 15 people, including ourselves, for the wedding. Any suggestions would be wonderful and greatly appreciated! Thanks! Diane

I'm not from Michigan but, I would suggest going to the area and checking some local restaurants. If there are any bodies of water where a restaurant or even a local Elks club may have a veranda those are always nice, depending on the time of year and weather! Some restaurants even have their own musical entertainment so see what's available on your date. If they allow you to decorate that can make all the difference. If you're brave enough to host an outdoor wedding try a local park. You will have to get apprpoval and maybe a license so check with city hall. Enjoy the planning.

If you want to get married in the summer, I highly recommend Mackinac Island. I attended a wedding there, and I've been going there yearly since I was little. It is absolutely beautiful. They have horse-drawn carriages - no cars on the island - and there's this gorgeous gazebo outside of the Mission Pointe Resort hotel that is perfect for a wedding site.

If you are in Indiana...look into venue's in Marshall, Michigan. It's a really cute city. Lots of historical locations.

Or there are fabulous Bed and Breakfasts all around southwestern Michigan.

we are getting married in August this twelve months at Meadowbrook corridor & backyard in Rochester, MI. The condo for this place is $6500 in the peak season. despite if, the marriage coordinator there is somewhat effectual. it somewhat is a historic citadel (once you're into romantic and stylish wedding ceremony) and with that condo value, you're renting the full place. So there heavily isn't anybody else different than you and your customer. With under a hundred human beings, you're able to do reception interior, or do an exterior reception of their tent. this is somewhat time-honored place, so it somewhat is advisable to sign the settlement somewhat quickly~
