'Cause to get away from driving, you gotta park in a drive-a way, and to get away from parking you gotta drive to the park- away, I guess someone got lazy and eliminated the a's in both, so now it's driveway and parkway.

and after reading the above answers, i have been thinking, why is the expressway called the expressway?? and the highway called the highway when buildings are even higher??
(im not sure if u guys call it expressway or wat, but here its called the expressway)
