Actually, I used to work corrections, and it is a fair program. The policies, and procedures for the state I worked in was consistent. The human skills needed for this line of work was not something taught in the classroom. To eager to make a bust type individuals.

It's an ok program, my best advice is to go to a junior college and get an associates in criminal justice, because your junior college hour will transfer...to a bigger school, having an associates degree will probably get you hired, but if you ever want to move up in rank, you need to obtain a bachelors degree.
