there are many paths and ways to get to ones destination. one can walk, take a train, a bus, a plane, an automobile, etc. and still get to where one is going. GOD is to big to be in only one place and the important thing is to arrive not how one gets there.

If you are not for God then you are against him. If against God there is no clarity and peace only confusion and division which leads to eventual complete insanity. This is the simplest answer to this question, which you all ready knew! Only with love in your heart can you see clearly. Only by knowing God in your heart can you have this love that sheds light on all things so the truth is laid bare. Look at the other answers you have received on this question and you will see some are rooted in complete insanity because they know not love and can only come from their heads. A mind without God is insane! It has no foundation but the knowledge of the world to base all it's reasoning on and the world as a whole is completely insane. That knowledge of the world is false and temporal. So a mind without God has no other choice but to be insane. They sound good and some use big words, Lucifer has had thousands of years to fine tune his deception and most people have fallen into his trap and do not have a clue that they are even trapped. They believe everything is going fine, but they are living with and serving the father of lies.

Now you should have the clarity you were reaching for, what I just wrote is the absolute truth. The truth needs no sword it is the sword!

It's mostly ignorance and the fact that many have been fed lies by others who know nothing about Jehovah's Witnesses except what they have been told. If some of them would only take a moment, ask some questions and see just what we believe and why we preach God's Kingdom, they might be pleasantly surprised. p.s. thank you for noticing our work, and the fact that it's without charge. Have a great day!

Basically, churches have become a money making operstion and so they need to advertise. They need to sound better, look better and be better than all the rest so that they get your membership, tithe and offering. Plain and simple. So what better way to do this then to put down other churches and denominations? Also, many of the rifts stem from centuries ago. Many protestant churches don't like catholic churches because they think that you all worship the pope and Mary. They think that it is wrong to confess your sins to a priest instead of the Lord. They don't approve of the idol worshiping (statues in churches and rosaries) and they don't approve of the memorized prayers you all say in church. But these are the same churches that will allow a gay pastor. They are the churches that build huge football size churches. As you can tell, I do not go to church. I have not found a church that I feel comfortable in.

Much of the debate is to help us understand one another.

Sadly though, that doesn't stop the trolls from stirring up trouble.

In any point in life, no matter what the situation, from the debate as to what milk to buy as to what tennis shoes are the best, what state is the best - there will aways be insecure people who need to get mean inorder to "prove" their point.

Meanness doesn't prove a point. It only proves how scared you are.

Keep on trying. And definitely keep on talking to all your friends of other faiths. I am also a Roman Catholic. I so love being eccumenical! Whooooo hooo!!!

God bless!!

It's not about being spiritual. You already know this. Monotheism always encourages xenophobia and a seige mentality where outsiders and non-conformers are dangerous, morally defective and evil. And I am sure some fundie will point out that your worship of Jesus' mom and Catholic saints does not please God, nor does the Jew's rejection of Jesus as Messiah, nor does the Hindu's polytheism (which is not objectively different from Christian Trinitarianism).

If theists had been pioneers on a wagon train, as soon as the Indians attacked they would have formed a cricle, fired at each other, and saved their attackers the trouble.

This is exactly why I am agnostic. I don't believe any religion has a corner on the market when it comes to being "the religion". There are great concepts that exist in major ones. Who am I to tell anyone that my point of view is better or more valid that theirs?

It comes down to how people interpret religion, faith and spirituality, and there are not enough folks out there who respect other points of view. Good for you for figuring it out!

When you kick God out of every aspect of life, (I am talking more or less about America as a whole) then there isn't too much room for good at all, then satan can work without anyone noticing. It is quite disturbing and should wake us christians up, so we should be in prayer on that.

I do not agree with the this vs that concept, however....

Most religions do teach that a person should not lie or steal, and so forth. But is that sufficient? Would you be happy to drink a glass of poisoned water because someone assured you that most of what you were getting was water?

2 Cor. 11:14, 15: “Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light. It is therefore nothing great if his ministers also keep transforming themselves into ministers of righteousness.” (Here we are cautioned that not everything that originates with Satan may appear hideous. One of his chief methods of deceiving mankind has been false religion of all kinds, to some of which he gives a righteous appearance.)

2 Tim. 3:2, 5: “Men will be . . . having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away.” (Regardless of their outward professions of love for God, if those with whom you worship do not sincerely apply his Word in their own lives, the Bible urges you to break off such association.)

There is a very old and wise saying;
"if you cease to worship a god he will go away" It's true and only when people recognize god is a myth will there be peace.
Disagreement is the only thing which keeps god on our minds. wake up and be free. This is kept aliv eby preachers, clerics, preist fighting for their peic eof the lucritive godly pie.
