my new kitten seems to have a prolasped rectum. after litter box her rectum stays open. is that normal/sick?

I have seen kittens die from that condition if it's not treated. Please get her some medical help.

Yeah, I'm thinking you need to go to a vet.
Cat butts should look white or light pink and tightly puckered. Anything else needs to be evaluated by a doctor.
Sorry to be gross.

That is so not normal...please take your kitty to the vet soon or it might die.
