I think you should try to get some therapy. These drugs your taking are just masking the problem. I went throught all the same things. I went to talk to someone about it, along with reading a lot of books about anxiety and inner child healing and it was the smartest thing I ever did.

try these sites for anxiety.

The reason you feel the increased anxiety is because of the hormonal changes you go through that time of the month, which is why we have all those nasty little cravings, feel like crying at the drop of a dime, have trouble sleeping and could eat every krispy kreme doughnut in sight. the only thing I've found that helped me with the increased feeling of anxiety during that time would be exercise and I mean sweat dripping exercise. Try a eliptical machine at any gym or another thing I just discovered that is way helpful for anxiety is the Infared sauna. they are really gaining popularity for all kinds of things ailments. 30 minutes in the sauna and then 10 minutes in a whirlpool, usually does me wonders.

I take an extended release xanax once a day that is 2mg. My doctor says this is for anxiety maintanence. In addition I have the .05mg tablets that he says are for break through anxiety. If I feel anxiety occasionaly, as you do once a month, I can take an extra .05 to help me through the rough times.
Hope this helps you.

Ask your doctor for a medication to take as needed. Some people take Klonapin when they feel too much anxiety.

You are asking for "Medical" advice.
You need to talk to your doctor.
Most people on Yahoo answers are not doctors and even if they were they would tell you to see your personal physician.
