The average person loses 90-100 strands of hair daily ! so if you are feeling like you are losing too many ...you might just be overly concerned...i was the same way...i found strands of hair all over ...in the shower every time i brushed my hair and all over my car and house ... not tons of pieces but not in big globs...anyway dont fret..its probably normal ...

If you are using head and shoulders it could be an issue. If you are under a lot of stress or it is longer than normal then you are only noticing something normal. We lose about 200 hairs a day so it's more noticeable when it's longer.

women lose about 100 hairs every day. if you don't brush your hair all day and then brush it at night and see loads of hair in your hand, it could just be built up hair from the day that wasn't able to leave your head after it feel out (i.e. if you had your hair in a bun or ponytail all day). pay attention to your eyebrows and eyelashes. if they start to fall out excessively, then go to your doctor. if you are still concerned, then you may want to see your doctor just for peace of mind and to make sure you're ok.

Mine falls out alot too! They say it could be down to stress or the fact that i colour my hair! It could also be down to not eating the right things!
An under or over active thyroid is also another reason!

Thyroid problems and female problems can cause this. A checkup might help. Or, it could just be the way it works in your family, even for females. Do you have a mom or aunts with the same problem?

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I had a similar incident a couple of months ago. Two patches on the back of my head. Just one of those things. It grew back. You'll go nuts trying to react to everything that it may be a symptom of.

You could have an underactive thyroid. One symptom of this is hair loss. Another is your eyebrows falling out, (seriously I know) or thinning at the ends. Go and see your quack.

When mine started falling out I headed to the doctor and he did blood tests & determined that my thyroid was out of whack. I'm on medication for it and it's slowly growing back. God bless!
