The slaughter of the Knights Templar took place on Friday the 13, a very coordinated plan to wipe them out. That is the reason for the superstition. Of course to them it was most unlucky indeed.

edit: you're welcome.

Yes, as mentioned the horrible day in history where the execution of supposed knights templar took place by the catholic church is where we get the common association with Friday the 13th being lucky. In regards to Jesus' crucifiction it would be impossible to determine what exact day or number it occured. Conversions of calenders and changes in date instigated over the last 2000 years, have happened so many times that for all we know it could be any actual day of the year, and this goes the same for Christmas, and Easter, they are both celebrated on debated dates, that can't be exactly accurate.

I don't think so, tho it may have been. But Friday was the day of the crucifixion, and 13 an unlucky number, supposedly, hence the superstition.

"IF" He died on friday, as christianity claims, then jesus can't be the Messiah. Matt. 12:40 "For in basic terms as Jonah became 3 days and 3 nights in the tummy of the large fish, so will the Son of guy be 3 days and 3 nights in the middle of the earth.". by using their very own theology "jesus" isn't the Messiah. Yehoshua died on wednesday afternoon around 3 PM. This became the Passover, the 14th of Abbib on the Hebrew calendar. when you consider that thursday became the fest of Unleavened Bread and a intense Sabbath, the bodies weren't accepted to proceed to be on the stakes in one day. on the top of wednesday they buried the Messiah, in basic terms before sundown. day after right this moment, thursday, became Unleavened Bread. This became a Sabbath so the girls people could not practice the physique as they many times could have. day after right this moment became the preparation day for the weekly Sabbath. They have been busy making waiting for day after right this moment. Then there became the weekly Sabbath, this additionally prevented them from doing something with the physique. before they could get to the tomb on sunday morning He had risen. He rose from the ineffective on the top of the Sabbath because it began to break of day in the direction of the 1st day of the week. Mat 28:a million in the top of the Sabbath, because it began to break of day in the direction of the 1st day of the week, got here Miriam Magdalene and the different Miriam to ascertain the sepulchre. Mat 28:2 And, behold, there became an stunning earthquake: for the angel of Yahweh descended from heaven, and got here and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. people ignore that throughout those days that the hot day began at sundown, not in the dark like the romans did. So, if it became nonetheless Sabbath then sundown hadn't occurred yet. the top of the Sabbath became in all probability around 6:30. in accordance to Matthew 28, the sunlight became going on, yet not completely long previous whilst He arose from the tomb. by way of fact the "break of day" that every physique thinks approximately remains 12 hours away! that's a lot too lots blunders to be precise. So, the respond could be NO! The Messiah became crucified on friday and He did not upward thrust from the grave on sunday morning.
