Ernie Shavers had great power but so did Sonny Liston. Liston had the better jab and was a bigger and stronger man who would have took the fight to Shavers and knocked him out in 7 rounds.

Sonny Liston by a KO round 6. I think it would be a fairly easy fight for Liston. He would hit Shavers with that telephone pole jab of his. He would wear down Shavers and set him him up for that 6th round stoppage. (If The Greatest never came along I think Liston would have been a champion for a LONG time. Those 2 losses to Ali messed with the man's head)
