well the smell is generally compacted in the poo, when you wipe you stir it up a bit so the smell becomes kinda floaty and spreads into the rest of the air? minimize your poo smell by eating fresh fruit and veg, lots of water too, poo smells at its worst when you've eaten curries?? i love curry! but i drink lots of water too. *wink*

The reason it smells worse when you start to wipe is because you increase the gap between your bum and the edge of the loo seat to get your arm down allowing air in and the smell out! You usually turn slightly too making the smell closer!

I think its todo with looking at what you have done and then knopwing what the smell is
