Someone once said that there's a verse somewhere in there (it sounds like something from Leviticus) that says that God will reward men who leave their wives. Is this true? If so, book and verse number, please. Thank you.

Not in that context.
Jesus was asked about the heavenly rewards of those who gave up thier families, riches, jobs, etc. to follow Him.

Matt.19
[29] And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

1Tim.5
[8] But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

SO, it's not an excuse to up and leave your spouse.

It is the opposite way round, he will stick to his wife.

Ephesians 5:30-31

. 31 “For this reason a man will leave [his] father and [his] mother and he will stick to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.

Mark 10:7-9

On this account a man will leave his father and mother, 8 and the two will be one flesh’; so that they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God yoked together let no man put apart

Genesis 2:24-25

24 That is why a man will leave his father and his mother and he must stick to his wife and they must become one flesh. 25 And both of them continued to be naked, the man and his wife, and yet they did not become ashamed.

I have added this afterwards as this may answer your question:

Jesus foretold that opposition to God’s truth would split families. (Mt 10:32-37; Lu 12:51-53) But the apostle Paul strongly admonished believers against breaking up the marriage relationship, appealing on the basis of the welfare of the unbelieving mate as well as of the children. He stressed the great value of the family relationship when he pointed out that God views the young children as holy, even though the unbelieving mate has not been cleansed from his sins by faith in Christ. The unbeliever may, in fact, be practicing some of the same things that Paul says some Christians had practiced before accepting the good news about the Christ. (1Co 7:10-16; 6:9-11) The apostle also guards the unity of the Christian family by giving instructions to husbands and wives regarding the rendering of marriage dues.—1Co 7:3-5.

Doesn't sound like it.

Of course, sometimes people take a text out of context and use it as a pretext.

Also, the Bible does, sometimes, have quotations, etc. which could be accurately quoting what someone has wrongly said. For example, Job's comforters expressed their opinions. If someone were to quote one of those verses, it might be an accurate quote but the statement itself might be totally wrong.

Or in Genesis, quote a verse which states some of Satan's words. Just take that verse out of context and it could seem to be saying the exact opposite of truth.

Or quote a verse or two from the book of Ecclesiastes. It might seem to be saying some strange things. Out of context, because the book makes observations about things "under the sun", about how things seem from a worldly viewpoint.

Whether there really is a Bible verse that says such, then you must find that verse and consider it in context ... the context of the verses before and after that verse, the context of that chapter, and of the preceding and following chapters. and, of course, within the context of the book as a whole.

God can, has, and does speak to people through just a verse, or even part of a verse. But the enemy also can take a few words or a verse or two OUT OF CONTEXT in an attempt to bring the whole of the Holy Bible into disrepute and ridicule.

There is a verse that says that god will reward anyone who leaves anybody for the sake of God, i.e. if your family hates Jesus you have to choose between the two, and a wife might have been included, it's in matthew, perhaps somewhere near the beatitudes?

No. Whenever someone tells you what the Bible says, you ask them to show you where it says that. You are looking all over for proof of an erroneous statement from someone else. Put the burden of proof back on them. An example of what the bible says about marriage and wives: at Genesis 2: 24 "That is why a man will leave his father and his mother and he must stick to his wife and they must become one flesh." Make whoever told you this show you where it says that.

Mark 10:28-31
29 Verily I say unto you, there is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children or lands for my sake, and the gospel's, but he shall receive an hundredfold in this time.......; and in the world to come eternal life.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I have come to send peace on earth I came not to send peace but a sword. .......A man's foes shall be they of his own household.
Matthew 19:8 [Jesus is speaking]
He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
Luke 8:21 My mother and brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.
Clearly Jesus teaches his followers to Love God above all else and to set this as a priority. One cannot serve God and mammon. [mammon- things of this world]

Using the Bible program e-Sword, I have been unable to find any reference in Leviticus to what you are asking about.

The bible tells us that we should only divorce if our spouse cheats AND your heart becomes hardened. Both have to happen.

I do not know of any verse like the one you speak about.

Probably....though the context may be way different and shorter lived, to the one you see...unless God was gay or a misogynist...which is very likely, given the rest of the Biblical input.
