Im from Florida and dont know too much about the metro pass, or subway system, but can any of you New Yorkers or Jersey folks tell me if you can take the #6 train from the Bronx all the way to Jersey to catch the Nets/Heats game?

No..but you can take the 6 to Grand Central Station, transfer to the S, which runs between Grand Central and Times Square. Walk to the Port Authority (either underground or on the street) and they have shuttle buses running to and from the Continental Arena when there are games/events. The shuttle bus should be $9 round-trip.

rockthis102 is right....
From the Port Authority Bus Terminal take the NJ Transit Bus # 351 to the Meadowlands Sports Complex / The Continental Airlines Arena.

Be sure you buy a Round Trip Ticket in the PABT, Before you get onto the bus, they dont take cash, you cant buy one after the game.
You can not use your NYC/MTA Metro Card on the NJ Transit Bus.
