Try doing what American cinemas did in the 1930s to pull in more movie goers.....they had prize drawings every week and also gave away premiums. In those days they gave away dishes made of inexpensive glass, one piece per ticket holder and one would have to return week after week to complete the set of dishes. Even though they were cheap giveaways then, those dishes have since become valuable collectibles in this country. As far as the prize drawings....they would often give out a big prize on Saturday nights such as a large item of food ( a turkey,a sack of flour or sugar, a ham, etc.) You could find out what type of giveaway would be attractive to your target audience and advertise it to see if your ticket sales increase. In our theaters the main profit comes from the sales of candy, popcorn and soda....I have heard that the sales of tickets keeps the theater operational but does not turn a large profit so they offer a wide variety of snacks. Maybe you could offer snacks the patrons would not find easily in an everyday situation.

Hello !! movie watcher......one thing that you can do to spark the patron into going ahead and entering to watch is to state the date the movie will end.......give the customer a free (small) soda or a tea for the first few weeks that the theater is open...have a special price for the afternoon only (not at night)....good luck..

Offer a dollar movie night on a really slow night or half off on the third week of the month (something to that extreme) you might loose money on the movie but your sales in popcorn and sodas will increase and more people will attend.

Add some type of food/drink service that is youthful and innovative. In Los Angeles, there are upscale theaters that have bars for the 20-something crowd. And, coffee bars are popular for the teenagers and non-drinkers.

show old films - it's one thing to watch an old movie on tv, it's another to see it on the big screen.
