We all ate the fruit when we first sinned.
I beleive that Jesus died for both of those reasons

Ever heard of corporate solidarity? By one man (the first Adam) sin entered into the world, by sin death. But by another man (Christ the last Adam) righteousness entered and we can have life. So when people talk about feeling blamed for what Adam did, that's just an excuse. God did not leave us in a state of condemnation. He provided a way of escape: Christ is that way of escape. Because of what Christ did at the cross, we are victorious. I know it may not seem like it sometimes, but we have the victory and I feel sorry for those who don't believe it.

Although we had nothing to do with the fall in the garden we still belong to the family of man. Whether we think it fair or not we are born condemned. Jesus pointed this out in John 3:18-19 "For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved." He points out "he that believeth is not condemned, but he that believeth not is condemned already.
We are sinners by birth, by practice and by choice. That is why Paul writes "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Rom 3:23) In the law of court of God we are condemned.
The grace of God is seen in sending his Son to die in the sinner's place. "Christ died for our sins" is the life giving message of the gospel. God saw us in our condition, condemned and bestowed his love upon us when he offered his son as a sacrifice for our sins.
In Isaiah 53:5 we read "He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities and the chastisement of our peace was upon him and with his stripes we are healed."
The Lord Jesus Christ satisfied the Holy claims of the throne of God when he died on the crosss. However, it is very clear that salvation is only to those who will accept the idea that "Christ died fror our sins"

Have you not heard 'suffer the sins of our fathers?" This means through out time everyone will be accountable for the sins of the fathers. Jesus Christ sacrificed his life, to make our life better. That is what they mean. We are sinful people, God is the one who sacrificed his only begotten son for the sake of the world, and the sin in it. He so loved the world, this is what he did for our sake. I hope this helped.

By one man, sin entered into the world.
The seed of sin is entwined with the seed of man.
Jesus Christ is the atonement for the sins of mankind.
And yes, He died to make up for the short-coming of mankind.
For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
Sin separates us from the Father. Upon repenting of our sins and confessing Christ as Savior and Lord, Christ's blood washes our sin away and covers us in His righteousness so we may have fellowship with the Father.

I think it means that Jesus died to make up for our sins - all of them, even the ones we commit today. He had to do this to save us, because his was the only death that could atone for all we had done and would do.

It's Biblical that Jesus died "for" (meaning in place of) you and me, because of our sinfulness. If He hadn't, there would be no hope for man, no forgiveness. But because He did, we are not only forgiven but we receive the righteousness of Christ to our account, though we didn't earn it. It's a free gift of faith, but there must be a realization of our sin and repentance toward God. If we fail to see our sins, it's because we are comparing ourselves with others around us instead of God's holy ways. Spend more time in His word.

Jesus died for and because of your sins. If you think that you have never lusted in your heart, swore, hated, lied, deceived, or any of the other multitude of things that are against God then you have bigger problems than worrying about an answer on a silly web-page..

first of all jesus was reborn 3 days later so no worry there. Second its the second "for" he died for our sins wich means that he died so are past sins would be gone and our future ones wouldnt be punished by the devil himself. jesus died for our sins cause his father told him to and that he would be reborn 3 days later. if this is to confusing ask the question again and i will explain better

Maybe God left the language barriers in the "up" position.
Because of our sins, Christ died for us.
Always go back to the source for proper word sequence.
