Children very often have imaginary friends. She has for some reason believed hers is a ghost. Imaginary friends usually go away after a while. It is not a ghost.

You know what I would believe her cause she as a child is more of an acceptable spirit and sprits know this and they often come to children more than adults . Children have such an accepting nature of things . If you do not believe me then go to Slyvia Browns website and ask her .I would take it for real for right now . Maybe you could look up the history on your house . I know we had a ghost who lived with us when we were kids in a house in Illnois. If you want email me and i will tell you how we found out this spirit was for real . Yeah but definately believe her for now. Good Luck and God Bless. If you email me maybe i could give you some more help.

I think there is a very good chance that this could be real. Kids are very perceptive to things like this because they haven't learned how to be skeptical yet. Do some research. If it turns out that there was no horrible event, then maybe she got the idea from the news. My oldest who is 7 asked me a couple of days ago if the plane that hit that building in new york was as bad as sept 11th. I said no, but asked her how she remembered that (she was only 2 at the time). She just said because i felt so sorry for them.
Kids can pick things up in the strangest places wether it's the media or a restless spirit in their enviroment

Does Jacky have a last name? Where did Jacky live?
How old is your daughter? How does she know of such things as home invasion and mass murder?
It doesn't matter if you believe Jacky is real or not, what is important is that your daughter thinks he is.
How is she as far as socially developed? Does she have playmates in this world?
My suggestion is that you get her involved in age appropriate activities, don't comment on Jacky at all. Maybe one day she will be too busy to remember Jacky. Good Luck.

I guess if you believe in the supernatural / ghosts..etc, do some research on the house you live in. More than likely he is just an imaginary friend and this is totally normal. My daughter had one (long time ago), we had birthday parties (no presents, just cupcakes) for him, buckled him into the car...etc...They were friends for about two years and then he just went away one day...I think she said she got mad at him or something and said they couldn't be friends...she was about 3 1/2 or 4...

It's very possible that he is real. Children are open to these kinds of visitations and your child may have psychic abilities. I would continue to believe your daughter and support her wishes where the ghost is concerned.

you could always do some research on it yourself. Go to the police station and ask about it or go to the library and ask to see some old newspaper articles that might help you find out if it's true. Good luck.
