So I have been dating this girl for about 3 weeks now. And I have no problem with her being a *****, but we do get stares and hear comments everynow and then and I'm just wondering when people are going to get over this interracial dating thing and just leave interracial couples alone. It just pisses me off royaly.

Do not worry about the rest of the world. Be happy and be secure in the fact that you are two PEOPLE that care about each other. The rest of the world can go to he** if they can't except the fact that color should NEVER be an issue. We are the same inside.

Ah. The best thing to do when you have someone stare at you and you hear comments when you are together, show them that you don't care and that it's none of their business on who is dating who. You can easily do just that, by making eye contact with the people and once you do, do a little PDA with her. Just show some affection, not enough to make you guys get a fine or something by the police. Good luck.

Relationships are work within itself...interracial relationships are even harder because everyone has an opinion. But remember that opinions are like a**holes everyone has one. Remember, why you start dating this girl in the first place? she must have had something beyond her race....so just keep that in mind. Society will never accept interracial dating, just like prejudice will never die but you have to accept that fact and appreciate that you are more open-minded and less ignorant than most people living in this society. That fact only should make you feel great within yourself and your relationship!

I think that the problem is not with what people think, but how you react when people look at you both. Just enjoy the moment, the love you have with this girl, she could be the one, give it a shot! And if people can't accept that fact that you two are in love...it doesn't matter...What should matter is that you two love each other and don't listen to what others are saying about you. You love her, she loves you...what's the problem? Don't let ignorance get in the way of your feelings for this girl......

Make up your mind! IF you live in a neighborhood who haven't not outgrown racial differences......think again! be prepared to handle pressures and consequences. Now, if you are really into that girl you're dating with for 3 weeks, you'll hear no evil and see no evil! The world doesn't exist when you are together! everything just feels right! and so, what else matters?

Okay first let me just help you out here, I really wouldn't go on refering to her as "a *****" how about my girlfriend is African American. You must not live anywhere on or near the east or west coast and are obviously surrounded by tons of ignorant hicks. Pretty much there is nothing you can do. People (especially in middle america) are just crazy racist bastards and your just going to have to get in a lot of fights or walk around with a tee-shirt on with a picture of a middle finger on it. I know people suck, don't let it get to you and when it does just kick someone's ignorant hick *** to the floor.

The problem isn't yours. The problem is theirs. Since you can't fix other people, you're going to have to grow a thicker skin and become selectively deaf. ;).

Just because people are prejudiced where you live doesn't mean it's like that all over. You'd be a far from uncommon sight where I live; no one would even take a second glance. Keep the faith! :)

Youre oversensitive. Who says they are staring because you are interracial. People just generally stare at young couples, especially if they are older. Probably remembering when they were young.
Get over it and get real.

Stare back for 10 seconds, then lean over and whisper something fervently in your girlfriend's ear and then both of you burst out laughing like you just saw the funniest thing in the whole world.
