Luvs are bulky and I don't care for them at all. They work in an emergency. Huggies work well, but I don't buy them much either because I just think they aren't as soft on the skin as Pampers.
I really haven't had a leak in them yet as far as poop. I have a 5 month old in Size 2 and a 2 year-old in size 5 right now.
Overall, I prefer Pampers and buy them by the case at Sam's.

Luv's area great brand and they are also cheaper than the other leading brands. My little girl who is 22 months has been using luvs since day one. So far I haven't had a leak. And if you were to ever get a leak, just call the number one the package and they will buy you a package of the brand that you normally use.

I use cloth diapers during the day and Luvs at night. I've never had an issue with them. I love how Pampers feels as far as absorbancy goes I think they are the same. You just can't beat the price even when Pampers are on sale.

I think Luvs is the best diaper made. When I used Pampers on my son they leaked every time. Huggies doesn't absorb odor very well. Luvs is the only one I will ever use again.

we adore luvs at our house. we've tried pampers, huggies, and kirkland brand and ended up back to luvs. they're great diapers for a little less money.
Also, Pampers and Luvs are BOTH manufactured by Proctor and Gamble. More info is available on both brands at the site below.
Good luck!

Some diapers work good for some, but not for others. I don't care for Luvs only b/c they don't fit snug - no stretchy sides. All you can do is try them out. My first son I could only use Huggies - they were the ONLY ones that didn't leak, but with my 2nd Pampers work fine too. Try them all and see what works best for you.

Try cloth. Here's why:

Disposable diapers contain traces of Dioxin, an extremely toxic by-product of the paper-bleaching process. It is a carcinogenic chemical, listed by the EPA as the most toxic of all cancer-linked chemicals. It is banned in most countries, but not the U.S.

Disposable diapers contain Tributyl-tin (TBT) - a toxic pollutant known to cause hormonal problems in humans and animals.

Disposable diapers contain sodium polyacrylate, a type of super absorbent polymer (SAP), which becomes a gel-like substance when wet. A similar substance had been used in super-absorbancy tampons until the early 1980s when it was revealed that the material increased the risk of toxic shock syndrome.

In May 2000, the Archives of Disease in Childhood published research showing that scrotal temperature is increased in boys wearing disposable diapers, and that prolonged use of disposable diapers will blunt or completely abolish the physiological testicular cooling mechanism important for normal spermatogenesis.

when my daughter was little i tried luvs with her once and if she was lying down when she peed it would run right out the back this happened with three diapers in a row and needless to say i tossed those useless things in the trash where they belonged huggies were always my brand of choice since she had sensitive skin and most disposable diapers broke her out but if you are looking for a good diaper that is less expensive diaper that works well try kirkland brand from costco i liked them a lot and i also liked pampers cruisers

I haven't had very good luck with Luvs or Pampers... huggies are great. Yah, they don't absorb odor well but it's also a good indication that the diaper needs changed so who cares.

Go Huggies!

Luvs are really good diapers. And they are a little bitter easier on the pocket book..............
=0)
Like the commercial says. Live and learn, then get Luvs.
Oh yeah.... I'll say this as well.
Poopies should be changed frequently, so it really doesn't matter what brand of diaper you use... It shouldn't have time to leak out... Unless it's diaherra. =0(
Yucky... lol.
So good luck!!!
