I know it sounds lame but meditation...it really helps. Lay down in the dark, close your eyes, starting with your toes working your way up, relaxe every little part of your body. Pick a word that's soothing to you and repeat it as you listen to yourself breathe. Try not to let your mind wander and focus on just that word. Helps me almost all of the time...otherwise I take a hot bubble bath with lavender. Good luck!

That Sounds Like me. I Have been Having Trouble Sleeping For a Long Time. Try This. Don't Take Any Naps In The Day Time, Start Exercising, Even If It Means Just Going For A Walk 1/ Hour Or So Each Day. Drink Plenty Of Fluids. Most Important Don't Go To Be If Your Not Tired, And Try Going To Bed The Same Time Each Night. When You Wake In The Mornings Don't Just Lie In Bed Get Up After A Minute Or Two. If You Stick To This You Will Find Your-Self More Rested. I Hope that This Works.

I was going to say chamomille tea, otherwise known as sleepy time tea, but in reviewing the answers to make sure someone didn't already tell you, I saw the truest answer, and Peace is right, masterbating gives you that nice warm sleepy feeling that relaxes you into the best and deepest sleep. It really does the trick. Happy dreams!

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress, dietary and medical
problems. By making small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly, insomnia can be
cured. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/jfzpz useful
for getting sleep.

It sounds juvenille, but if you don't want to go the route of taking a sleepind aid, heat up some milk in the microwave and add some vannilla flavoring to it, it always does the trick for me!

Pick an object in the room. Stare at it as long as you can. Your eyes will want to close, but fight it for a while. When you can't keep them open any longer, close them but continue to picture the object in your head. Goodnight.

It is now morning time. So, I hope you fell asleep by then. If that happens again tonight, just count sheep or watch something really boring on tv, that usually helps me when I have trouble sleeping.
