When i didn't have any money to buy my bf is b-day gift i made him a basket, If you don't have a small gift basket lying around anywhere get a thick piece of cardboard just get together some little things he might like like beer, nuts, chips and whatever else you can think of and just put them in the basket and get a piece of transparent plastic to hold everything together and there you have it a nice snack basket. Buy him a gift certificate for his favorite store. Go to WallMart and get him a cd of his favorite music. Bake him a cake to go with it...

it doesn't have to be expensive - be creative. you could also make him up a "coupon" book with massage, car wash, night out with the guys, his pick of movie/dinner, etc.
