Not much you can do. If you are not a witness to the alleged crime, it's time to stand back. You can support him with encouragement, but in honesty, too many cases have been blundered because the mom got in the way.

If it had something to do with a domestic argument, the law always goes with the female. I do know that if she lied to the police, she will be arrested and charged for filing a false report. I am not sure exactly what your situation is, but if your son has a bond you can get him out. You need to find the proof that your son is innocent and take it to a lawyer.
There is a Legal Aid Service here where I live which if you are not able to pay for a lawyer. They will go by your income to see if you qualify. Also, in our area is a Volunteer Lawyer Service, I have gotten a lawyer from here to help with a different matter. They volunteer their services to those who need a lawyer and can't afford one.
You don't have very much information about your son's situation. I wish I could help more.

If she's his girlfriend, why would she want him in jail? You didn't give the reason for him being in jail but it sounds to me like a domestic issue. The fact that the police are questioning the girlfriend and hauling him off to jail leads me to think that he's abusing her and she's calling the police. How do you help your son? Stop helping him!

Gosh, it's such a shame that the people who make a career of enforcing the law and have heard from witnesses and complainants in just about every kind of crime imaginable are such morons that they can't recognize that the girlfriend is lying. She must be an Academy-class actress. Your poor, poor innocent son...

If you're really trying to help your son, and believe his g/f if lying your gonna have to get proof. You really can't just go in and say he's innocent. They are going to want physical or verbal proof. Good Luck.

Wake upp lady, your son is probably not the little angel you think he is. The biggest problem america has is people not holding themselves accountable and parents not holding their kids accountable. Everyone has an excuse why it wasn't their fault. Suck it up and accept that your son probably is at fault, at least a little. Good luck. Tell him to be a man.

If his girlfriend is lieing on him then why is she still his girlfriend? First of all tell him to dump her, and get his act together - then you will help him, if not then he is on his own. Sometimes we have to let our children hit the bottom of the barrel so to speak before we can help them. When he hits bottom, you will know and you will be there for him. Be firm about him getting out of this relationship. Tell him "if you lay with dogs, you will have fleas!" Good luck.

How do you know for sure she is lying? If he has a record, he's not completely innocent. Your question is way to vague. Get a lawyer.
