I was baptised as an infant, confirmed when I was 14 or 15, and gave my life to Christ and accepted him as my personal lord and savior at that time as well -- which was one of the most awesome experiences of my life.
Of course, I'm now an atheist, but, you didn't ask that.

I have not yet been saved, since I am still in the flesh, and one who is alive on this earth still has the potential to turn away from Christ and forfeit salvation, as many Christians sadly have done. That's why the Bible says that we will be saved only if we endure to the end. That's also why Paul tells us we must work out our salvation, and states that he is doing so, lest after bringing others to Christ he himself might forfeit eternal life. Satan loves for us to think we are "already saved", so that we might relax and stop making any real effort. It makes his work so much easier.
But I am baptized, I am on the road to salvation, and with the grace of God I will remain there until my dying breath, and be saved for all eternity.

I was 'saved' at 8 years old. I was baptized as a young adult in the Methodist church. I have since left Christianity.

Lifelong Christian, baptized by the Holy Spirit in '72, baptized with water as an act of obedience just this year.
A bit slow to obey, but an early Catholic baptism can be a bit confusing. That was my PARENTS' act of obedience. This one is mine.

No. But once I saw a fireman save a dog from a burning building. Then they splashed water on him, just to be sure. Thats pretty much the same thing as what you're talking about. Hope this helps clear things up.
