Goddess Saraswathi who is the consort of Lord Brahma, the Creator of the Universe. Anyway there is only one Supreme Source of Divinity which is called the BRAHMAM which is a very bright light putting millions of suns together. it is only for convinience that this BRAHMAM is called by several names according to the different duties performed by them as - Lord Brahma the creator, Lord Vishnu - the sustainer and Lord Shiva - the reason behind destructions and death which is required to balance the world. these Lords are in turn assigned to their Goddesses, which in actuality signifies the positive and negative energy in any entity, which is required to make anything whole. and not actually a male and a female God. it is only a depiction to allow the ordinary mortal man to understand the functionalities and show devotion in every respect to the eternal being BRAHMAM. It is an almighty, omnipotent, omnipresent and omnicient being which is all powerful, knows everything, creates everything, performs everything and makes us to do what we are doing. only that God which is the same even if you call him Jesus or Allah or Vishnu or Shiva or Lakshmi, or whatever name you call according to one's belief, it is the same one and only Supreme Being that is existing and causing to exist.
how else will the prayers of different religions be answered. it is not the different gods that are answering the different prayers, but the same eternal being that is responding to the different names that it is being addressed to. similar to a lady being called a mother by her child and being called a grandmother by her grandchildren, she is called by her name by many, whereas she could be an aunt or a teacher or a nurse. whatever name you address her, she is the same person and does her duty accordingly, by being a mother to her children, or a nurse to her patients, or a teacher to her students.
THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD irrespective of whatever name we call, we are too ignorant to comment on any aspect whatsoever of this SUPREME BEING without knowing any FIRST HAND INFORMATION. of course there are many accounts of first hand knowledge mentioned in the vedas or puranas, anyway GOD IS INDISPUTABLE.

Dear Raju:
Saraswati is ONE of the great goddesses of Hindu mythology ; a Goddess of Knowledge. She was the Consort of the Lord Brahma, Creator. You can see the belief in this that the Creator, Brahma, created something from great Knowledge and Intelligence since He was coupled with Saraswati. The Creation of this world was intelligent.
Also, Lakshmi and Durga are two more of the goddesses of Knowledge.
