You need to convert the mp3 files to WAV format (which will be larger, so not as many will fit) and then burn an *audio* CD, not a data CD in Roxio... Also, make sure you're using the type of CD-R media for Music (usually Green colored on the recording side instead of silver) as some Car CD players don't work as reliably with the shinier CD-R media that's designed for data.

What format have you burned in? Mp3? Wma? Then you require a cd player that will play these formats, not all do.
Try reburning the cd as an audio cd, no file extensions necessary...audio cd's burn up to 70-80 minutes. If you can burn more than 80 minutes on the cd...it's burning as an Mp3 and thus you might have the same non play problem again.
Good luck

You probably downloaded MP3s and only COPIED them to a CD. That's not the same as burning them. Your computer is playing them as MP3 files. Your CD player can't play them because they haven't been converted from the MP3 format.
Make sure you're choosing the 'burn' option and not just 'copy'.

Make sure you cd player can play MP3 files or when you burn them to a cd make sure you make an audio cd not just drag and drop the songs to the disc because that will convert the files to a standard music audio file (much bigger file than an MP3 file)

You can't just copy the files to a cd.
Look for an "audio cd" option.
You won't be able to hold as many songs on a cd, but it will work in your car.

certain cd's wont play in car stereo's, depending on your stereo. I had an older alpine that wouldnt play burnt cd's, so i bought a new one, and this ones plays them all. Try getting a different brand of cd's, and if doesnt still work, then you may have to change out your stereo for a newer one.

That happens because some of the brand of equipment you have cant read bootlegged/copies. It can only read originals. If you have a playstation box play it on there. If it works then you know why. My sony stereo does not take copies at all.
