"cheap labor" is a lie. Take, for example, an illegal alien with a wife and five children. He takes a job for $7.00 or $8.00/hour. At that wage, with six dependents, he pays no income tax, yet at the end of the year, if he files an Income Tax Return, he gets an "earned income credit" of up to $3,200 FREE money!
He will also qualify for, Section 8 housing and subsidized rent, food stamps,and free (no deductible, no co-pay) health care .His children get free breakfasts and lunches at school. He requires bilingual teachers and books .
He qualifies for relief from high energy bills.
If they are or become, aged, blind or disabled, they qualify for SSI.Once qualified for SSI they can qualify for Medicare.All of this is at the taxpayer's expense.
He doesn't worry about car insurance, life insurance, or homeowners insurance. Taxpayers provide Spanish language signs, bulletins and printed materials.
This family receives the equivalent of $25-$30/hr just in benefits paid by you.

Ok, let me adress this answer on a point by point basis.
EIC - someone who is illegal can't get Earned Income Credit. That has to do with the Federal taxes, and in order to file their federal taxes they need to apply for a w-7 (TIN). If you do not have a valid SS# then you cannot get the EIC. The IRS checks this when the return comes in.

Section 8 and the like. You cannot get Section 8, food stamps, and the like - again without a valid SS#. They are federal programs, and the valid social security numbers are checked.

Free/Reduced breakfast and lunch, many who qualify don't even use it. If they are american citizens (so called anchor babies) and they qualify for free/reduced lunch, then they deserve to get it. I know we qualify for it (I am an American Citizen) and I use it.

In your question, you kept saying HE, talking about the husband/father figure. Well he is working his butt off day and night to pay for his wife and five children (although many who are here don't come with their wife and children - they come alone and send money home) so why would he need bi-lingual teachers and books? If you are talking about the children, as I said before, many of the children are citizens of the US, and the non legal children are left at home.

When they have a job, and they have no income tax taken out as you say, they still have to pay medicare, social security among a couple of other taxes.

I can't say anything about the energy bills because many will check their SS numbers, but many programs will not.

If they become blind, aged or disables they do not qualify for SSI because they do NOT HAVE A VALID SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER which, gasp, is needed to apply for SSI. So they don't get medicare.

Why don't they worry about car insurance? As for life insurance and homeowners insurance, what does it matter if they worry about this or not? I don't have life insurance, and I have renters insurance but I just got it because I never knew how cheap it was.

We as taxpayers, also pay for signs, bulletins and other printed material in other languages other than spanish too.

How do you file Income Tax or qualify for SSI if you don't have a SS#? It's all bull and we're going to be real sorry here pretty soon I'm afraid. They are taking over and intend to take over! Heaven help us!

You hit it right on the nose. I recently quit a job at a bank and now work at a pharmacy. its amazing to see so many illegals that get a job for that $7-8, have a ton of money saved, drive a nice suv, while having 10 kids, then i see their pregnant (again) wife in the pharmacy picking up free prescriptions paid for by medicaid. ive been a single mom of 2 for 5 yrs and have never and would never use the system. they have more stuff and more money then i ever will do to all the free handouts. it makes me sick!

I assume you are pointing to what will happen if amnesty is granted to illegal workers now. Don't forget that if illegals get amnesty they will also have all the rights of a regular American, including better wages, medical leave and all the regulations of OSHA...now they have no say in what the business's pay them but if they become legal they can complain without the fear of deprotation.

I am not against legal immigrants or illegals for that matter, giving them amnesty is what I am against.

first off illegals dont have ss# so how exactly is he gonna recieve taxes, section 8 subcidized rent, health care, what utility company do you know of that provides services with out proper id and social, medicare services show me the proof, before you start talking out your *** do your research first
