I had 2 miscarriage's before my son was born. I think that it is important that you see your doctor for a checkup, especially if you are planning on trying again. You could have an issue with your cervix, scarring, some type of infection. You just never know what may have caused it. Even if you aren't planning on trying again, for your own health go see the doc.
Good Luck!

Hmmm...that's a poser there...
So from my experience..which is a MC at 13 weeks and 2 at about 5.5 weeks....the 13 week one I had to have a D&C. The other two were confirmed by blood tests, but other than just letting it happen, there was nothing else required. My doc saw me later for a follow up, but no pills, no D&C, no nothing. Now when I started bleeding at 6 weeks 5days with this current pregnancy, I was SURE I was going to be miscarrying again. I asked before I even knew for sure if this meant I'd HAVE to have anotehr D&C. He told me it would depend. That time frame was right on the edge of what they consider safe to not have one. Just double check with your doc as to what he suggests, but other than waiting it out, from MY experience, there is nothing else they'll do.
I'm sorry to hear your loss! (Oh...and it was NOT a MC this time...baby is doing good as of my visit 4 weeks ago...) Hang in there....don't rush to get pregnant agian. It will be tougher to maintain the pregnancy if you try again immediately...

it's good to go to the doctor to make sure everything cleared out and to make sure you don't have an infection! Some doctors may try to find out what caused the miscarriage! Sorry to hear about your loss!

if you continue to bleed a lot then you do. also if you and the baby had conflicting blood types then you will have to get a rogam shot after every p.g. or mis-carriage to protect your future p.g.
