The other day I was at a bar with my friend. We were drinking beer and she told me that she likes to hang out with me because I am the only one of her female friends who will drink beer. She says most women don't drink beer and/or can't stand the taste of it. I love beer ( yes I said love). I am a woman, and my sister drinks beer. I started thinking about it and most of my female friends drink those malted drinks like Smirnoff or order Margarittas. I like mixed drinks and stuff but I am definitly a beer chick. Give me a Sam Adams or Bass or Magic Hat and I am happy. Are there women on here who like the taste of beer, do you know a woman who likes the taste of beer? I'm curious

okay, I realized how bad that sounded, she doesn't just hang out with me to drink beer, it's just something she likes about hanging out with me. We aren't alchoholics....yet

I love the taste of beer and have since I was about 5yrs. I used to take a sip of my Dad's when he wasn't looking. Most females like the so called "***** Beers" thats what I hear guys call them anyway but yes, I love it and actually don't drink any other kind of alcohol no mixed drinks and nothing else. Works out perfect for me because I'm living in Germany at the moment and beer is everywhere. You can buy a beer cheaper in a Mcdonald's here than you can soda. German's love their beer so we get along pretty damn good.

My mother, my two sisters and all of my female relatives like beer, as do most of my friends. I am the odd one out I do not. So that's about a 30:1 ratio. They find it hard to believe that I do not like beer. It's nearly unheard of in an Irish family! My Grandfather use to ask me what kind of an Irish person I am all the time.
I do not know who is drinking those malted drinks but, they are nasty. Give me wine any time!

I can't disprove your friend, I would have to say most the women i know don't like beer, they do prefer the "girly" drinks. However; I prefer girls like yourself beer women... and the fact that you have an appreciation for good beers is even that much more attractive... I'd have a pint of Sam Adams with you anytime.

My life loves beer. She does not drink much, but definitely enjoys the flavor. The other day I opened a beer to go with dinner, and she said, "Yum!" and took the first sip. I have a good female friend in the US who drinks almost nothing but beer. She can drink me under the table (so the saying goes).

A gentle note to the person who quoted Ben Franklin: the original quote referred to wine, not beer (though personally I think it goes just fine!)

I never used to like beer until a friend of mine started brewing his own. He made some very yummy blends (pumpkin pie, honey blonde, etc.), and I got over not liking the taste of beer.

Now I'll drink anything except really, really dark beer like Guinness.

I usually drink schmirinoff, but beer is good with certain things, like hot wings and pizza. Of course you HAVE to drink beer while watching football, its a requirement. I don't mind the taste of beer, even though it is nt my first choice. It gives me a nasty hangover compaired to malted beverages or mixed drinks.

I've always been a beer girl myself. My best friend does as well. Of course I'm always one who enjoys sports. I'm not into the 'girlie' drinks or many 'girlie' activities. My grandmother was a beer drinker back in the day...and my aunt continues to be.

I used to really love beer, but the older I've become I've developed a taste for wine instead.

Everrrrrrry once in a while I'll get a hankering for a beer, but give me good ol' fashioned MGD instead of one of those hoity toity things LOL! Just a few weeks ago I bought a 6er of MGD. I still have 3 of them left, because it really is just that every once in a while I want *one* beer. Just for the sheer cold, frothy BEERNESS of it!
