Perhaps if you practised Yoga and meditation you would not be scared of death. Ever think of that?

The sound is all part of the art. It's not necessary though. Some people believe it builds more power, supposedly by helping you "channel your Ki" into the strike. However, there is no scientific evidence of "Ki" or "Chakras" of any kind existing. Some people will try to say that science can't explain everything but, in fact, it can - it just hasn't done it yet. Other people say the yelling is simply to assist you to learn the proper breathing techniques. This is more sensible. Exhaling with the strike will indeed give you a more effective hit however it can be done with out the noise. The most likely reason for the yelling is that it is an excellent psychological weapon to use. A sudden loud yell is often all it takes to surprise a person causing them to lose focus for an instant and making them more susceptible to the strike. There is no need to practice the yelling. Form is much more important. And blocking. So many people, especially those who self teach focus on the hitting and think they're top **** but can't take a hit themselves. Practice blocking twice as much as striking. With enough training you will get to a point where a block will come naturally when somebody strikes at you without you thinking about it.

Do you really think Buddism and Wicca are evil? They despize the devil! They hate him, banish him, they want unity, not a satanists point of view to do evil! Besides, ou can do yoga and meditate, and be in a Christian religion at the same time!! Martial Arts! Fencing is a martial art! Do you really want to deprive those of their enjoyment in life? You should look up more.

None of these practices are religious in nature. Even if they were, they would have their origin in eastern religions, which do not acknowledge "the devil". Educate yourself about eastern philosophies, and you won't have to worry so much about it. In the long run, if you ban anything your religion doesn't agree with, you abolish the Christian concept of FREE WILL.

He can’t accept other cultures, religions, or practices either. It is either his way or no way. I don’t think God meant us to be judgmental of each other, that is why the world sucks.
