But me? 26, depressed, no friends.. and even though i have opportunities to meet and i'm meeting some foreigners recently, i still don't feel like i'm worth it.. i feel i'm c*ap. Why is he able to be so happy and i feel like worthless?

dont base your life on your cousins. maybe he is a little more outgoing than you and that is why he has more friends. just relax and let loose.....talk to people, get to know them. and in no time you will have as much a social life as him.

It sounds as if you might be suffering from depression. Have you considered seeing a professional couselor to find out why you have no interests or motivation? At 26, the world should be your "oyster" and you should be enjoying yourself. If you have depression, it's not just something that you can 'shake off". You need to talk to someone. In your cousin's case, he is excited about being in this country and is making the most of the opportunities given to him.

His time in this country doesn't have as much to do with his happiness as you think...it is an inner decision. You need to focus on things that make you happy that you can achieve now and set goals for in the future. Start off small and decide to be a happy person. Don't be jealous of someone else's happiness...get some yourself... and be happy for your cousin's happines...there is a place to start!!

He is younger than you for a start and it is all about the opportunities we make for ourselves. Get out and about into the public sector and make friends, go places and have a good time.

You will never have a happening social life sitting on the net waiting for one to fall into your lap. Head to a local pub or club and join in the fun!

Maybe because he is grateful for the opportunity he has been given and is taking advantage of it all, as he should be. But you are a different person. Maybe going through a depression.
Its apples and oranges. One doesnt have anything to do with the other.

Because he has a better attitude about life than you.
Your taking everything for granted and your just not enjoying life.

I really think that foreigners take advantage of life when in a better situation then others who are use to having it easy.

Now stop feeling sorry about yourself and get a life.

i think he has a better social life because he has come to a new country and he's more comfortable here than in Mexico, and maybe in Mexico he had a bad life and he could be improving here.
