This is just in general question, wanting to know some guy opinions...:
A girl who you find not very attractive, but okay looking says to you "Do you think I'm pretty?"
Do you lie? or point out the things you like? or are you honest?

Everyone is differrent, so every guy or gal is going to think certain things about certain people are pretty and certain things about certain people are ugly. I would point out the positive, never just say that someone is ugly, that makes you an ugly person.

Despite what women think about us most guys realize the "Do you think I'm pretty?" question as a woman fishing for a compliment and in a lot of cases, guys try to take the noble way out of the fork and lie and say yes, even if they don't believe it just to avoid hurting her feelings.
A friend did ask me that question on time and I replied by asking her to explain the question. Pretty on outside or inside or what? When she said outside, not finding her attractive at all, I honestly responded that I didn't find her attractive and that's why I never asked her out yet there were others who DID find her attractive which is why they HAD asked her out in the past.

It depends. If the girl is just trying to make u to admit that she's pretty, which they ALWAYS do, just say they look like pig in a joking way. 90% they will break into laughter and slap ur arm...then juz 'alright alright! ur pretty'.
If, on the other hand, the girl is really seeking for ur opinion, just say shes pretty (even if shes not). No point of hurting a soul.

I wouldn't blatently lie. I would tell her she's pretty and I'd tell her why I think so and what she should feel good about herself for. I'd also try to change the subject a little and tell her what makes her personality great. It would go a little something like this.
"Yes your pretty, you have very beautiful eyes. And you're so cool, you get things that most girls don't get. You're friends with everybody no matter what. Basically you're awesome."

Always answer this question with a "yes". It doesn't matter if she looks like a dog. Say "yes". If you want to take it further (you're not obligated to), point out the things you like and lie a little to make them seem better than they are.
No one needs to know that they're ugly.

I think it is essential to not lie! Too many people are lied to and there are too many girls out there running around with false confidence. There is also no need to be nasty.. all you simply do is point out there good features and avoid the nasty ones. If there is something particularly nasty such as bad body odour etc.. dont point it out point blank.. make suggestions or subtle hints to alleviate the behaviour. I bought my friend a tin of body spray in the hopes she would use it.. It worked. There is never any need to be nasty, but there is also never any excuse for lying either!!!!!

Enough women out there telling other chicks what's wrong with them...I say that the polite thing to do is be honest and point out all the good quallities of her beauty...all women have them...you just have to notice...and once they are aware of them, they can begin to have more self esteem and love themselves rather than care about what others are thinking of things they probably have no control over anyway!!

All these girls who are saying be honest would go home and cry their eyes out if a man said they were ugly! Don't listen to them, you should always tell a white lie if necessary when it comes to a woman's appearance. Just say "yes"! Unless they say, "Do I look fat?" and then you say "NO"!

So ya They're pretty.
But Truth is even a sexy girl is can still a BI##H to the bone so being pretty or not is really not an issue. How a girl come across is more sexy by way they handle themself with what they have is much more important then being an eye candy.

This question rarely warrants an honest answer because it is almost always asked dishonestly. It's all about the asker manipulating the asked into revealing something about how he/she feels about them, not if they are indeed physically attractive.
I usually answer, "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder", and leave it at that. People who see beauty in you will tell you without being asked.
