Me and My bf have dated off and on for 5-6 years. We have had our rough times but are trying to work things out.
We broke up and he dated other people and for some reason I can not get over it. I have tried and tried. I woke up last night, cussing him for what he did and told him that he messed us up.
I don't know what to do. I lvoe him and I wanted to get married like in the next 2-3 years and a few days ago he told me he didnt want to be married or have kids for another 5 or 7.
Marriage is something I am ready , I think to do. I am just not sure if I should leave him and move on and find what I am looking for or wait it out for him.

move on definitly. You have already got hurt *issues* with this man that you can't seem to get over. And you probably never will. I struggled with this with my ex. We were off and on for 4 yrs, everytime we broke up he went with another girl, and i stayed single....... we brought it back together and i was still untouched by another, with him being my last, and I was never given the same gift. I had a REALLY hard time with that. He always said he wanted to get married, and we even got engaged our last time bringing it together, and he never made a point to REALLY get married. I finally realized the truth. He didn't want to get married, at least NOT to me, and I am not getting any younger and I want MY husband. I dumped him and now I am moving on looking for who IS mr right and who does want to share HIS life with me. Bumpy roads and all. Blessed be..............

I would advise against pushing marriage. That's something that he will never forget, just like you can't seem to forget him dating other people. Marriage doesn't fix problems... you need to work everything out FIRST, and especially if you want kids in the future. You don't want to bring kids into an unhappy marriage. Also, I hate to tell you this, but to put off marrying someone for 5-7 years sounds like he is putting you off and trying to get rid of you. That's a LONG time to waste if he ends up not marrying you. Don't waste your life away on someone who's not as serious about your relationship as you are. Just think of all the other things you could do with 5-7 years of your life - go to college and get a degree, start a business, and maybe find the love of your life who feels the same towards you. Dream the dream - Don't settle!

if you wait it out you may wait too late and you all wont be together anymore so i would either let it go or what until you couldn't wait anymore then let go because sooner or later you will realize if y'all are meant for each other and maybe this is what is trying to tell you that y'all ain't meant for each other. So take the advice how you want to and hopefully it will help you to decide but personally if you wont ot get married and he don't and with all th trouble you have had in the relationship then i would let it go and if it was meant to be then the love will find you when it is meant to be.

NEXT...!!!!
These are all deal breakers...now or later...don't involve childeren...thier is a man out there waiting to make babies with you love you and take care of you...for now take care of yourself...save yourself for him...and enjoy the search...as you honor him without even knowing him...and don't settle for anyone not doing the same.

Your relationship isnt even stable and you want to get married? Thats a mistake. And if hes voicing that he isnt ready when you are, why push?

People have their own timetables on things.

You can't push yours on someone else.

Pushing someone into marriage is not a good idea, it will backfire and he will end up resenting you.
