My vote goes to the Bible. Here's why:

The gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are eye-witness accounts of the life and Person Jesus, written by people who walked and lived with Him for about three years, and knew him intimately.

The Qur'an was written by the prophet Mohammad, who had never met Jesus.

What are your thoughts?

OOOPs, Sorry.

Luke is NOT an eye-witness account, but a biography written by a third party.

But Luke was written by a very conscientious physician who talked with and interviewed people who had known Jesus personally.

The bible all the way! But, the Quran does hold some accurate accounts of Jesus. I don't know why they don't put that Quran down and follow the bible if their very own BOOK says that it acknowledges the bible to be true! geez

Yes i agree that the bible is because there were eyewitness to what they wrote about in the bible. The Bible writers came from many walks of life, including kings, peasants, philosophers, fishermen, herdsmen, poets, statesmen, scholars, soldiers, priests, prophets, a tax collector, a tentmaking rabbi, and a Gentile doctor.

The Bible was written in three different languages: Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek.

The writings contained in the Bible belong to a great variety of literary types including history, law, poetry, educational discourses, parables, biography, personal correspondence, and prophecy.

Books written by men have no unity of thought on even one subject. Some of them invariably disagree with others. But there is perfect unity between the books of the Bible -- which speak of hundreds of subjects in many fields. There is no contradiction among them.

Who but God could produce such a book?

The New Testament in the Bible, because this part is solely for Jesus Christ. And I agree with you. Mohammad wrote the Qur'an about 100 years after Jesus was alive (I think, I heard that somewhere) but, yes I do agree with you. I don't think the Qu'ran has very much info, but it mentions him.

first. Muhammad cannot read or write to even begin to write the Quran.

2nd. if you compare the Quran (God words) with Hadith (Muhammad words) you will see alot of differences.

3rd. whoever read the Quran in its original language will know right away that it's from God.

4th. Islam didn't talk of much details about Jesus life. Quran is more as the conclusion of what God wants to say. Quran can be identify as short sentence that has a wide generalizing meaning.

Although I know what you are trying to say it is not an absolute thing that Mark is an eyewitness account but rather that he received his info from Peter. The Bible. is the answer... the "reception" of the koran is a misguided and hopeful thought.

christian scholars confirm that the gospels were not composed until at least 30 years after jesus's death..i would go for quran as it's written in the 1st person, ie. god speaking opposed to mohammad speaking, as many seen to think..the bible is written in the 3rd person, ie. he said she said he said etc..so not as reliable..

The gospels are not thought to be eye-witness accounts. The first three gospels plagiarize from each other extensively.
