Do not take your daughter back to the optometrist. Instead, take her to an optholmogolist. This is a doctor who specializes in problems with the eyes. An optometrist can only do so much. But a specialist is who your daughter needs to be seen by because other problems could be going on. Even though it may be as simple as her being given the wrong perscription, at least you will have the peace of mind of knowing that nothing potentially serious may be happening to her eyes that later may be too late to correct.

First you may have to get more than one opinion, please do. She is getting a headache because of that one eye is doing all the work. When she gets a chance she should always whenever she can rest that eye. No bright lights, no straining, try to alternate eyes of course the doctor is right. He is trying to fix her eye but she is suffering and he should be concerned about that. Some doctors just are doctors there is no customer care. Yeah by all means make sure she alternate eyes. If you ask me it is not going to hurt if she takes a break for a day. Do that and see maybe a day on and a day off. Get a second and third opinion from a ophthalmologist as well. In this world today when it comes to your health and the ones you love you should always get more than one opinion. Another doctor could possibly make a big difference or have a better solution. Good luck.

I believe in emotional and mental causes of illness and discomfort. Here's what my "good book" says about this:
The right side represents the masculine. Eyes give us trouble when we don't like what we see. Headaches are caused by invalidating the self, self criticism and fear.
Without knowing you or your family, my initial feeling is that your child has a problem with an important male in her life. There is something there that she just can't bear to see - so her body accomodates her by blurring the vision. The headaches make me think that she feels critism from this man or is afraid of disappointing him - and when she is forced to only look through the right eye when the patch is on, it makes the fear worse.
To fix this I recommend the following:
Say over and over again (out loud, in your mind) "This child is surrounded by harmony, joy, beauty and safety" and tell her she is safe. Believe it - use your personal power to make it so. If you can get her to say "I am safe" often, that will be helpful also.
If there is a man in her life that could be perceived by her as a negative influence, you might want to talk to this person and have him do the affirmations and have him tell her "We see all of life through eyes of love. I love you and I always will. You are safe."
If he is not agreeable to this, you might want to consider distancing yourself from that man. It could be a teacher, a relative, a neighbor.
If it was me, I would not have her wear the glasses if possible or maybe consider going to a new optometrist. I know people who think glasses headaches come from the fact that the area of proper viewing through the lenses is small and the headaches come when the wearer uses peripheral vision and then back to straight focus and the constant in and out of focus is what causes the headaches.
You might also try increasing the amount of water she drinks (dehydration is one of the leading causes of headaches) and using a natural eye strengthening herb, like Bilberry (very similar to blueberries) or beta carotine (found in carrots). I would also suggest that you do visualizing and intentioning exercises yourself:
Spend 3-5 mins a couple times a day vividly picturing your child not wearing glasses and seeing happily, clearly and comfortably. If there is a man in her life that could be an issue, see them together peaceful, happy and loving. The more you can do this (and the more clearly you can see it) the better the results - and don't forget to see yourself happy and peaceful too before you end the session. This kind of thing can be very powerful and work very quickly.
My child has a lazy eye and a patch was recommended to me. Rather than do that I play one eyed peek-a-boo with her for a few minutes a couple times a day. She loves it and now does it herself - though she is only 3.
Peace!

I believe stress causes headaches and other illnesses. I have autoimmune responses to stress and other environmental situations and get headaches. Medication only increased the frequency and intensity even if it did relieve the immediate pain. Since I stopped using medications (especially for allergies), the severity and frequency decreased.
I don't know that it would happen like that for everyone. I found that God can handle the stress that I couldn't resolve. I believe that stress causes all illness in one way or another, which may not be visible or available to consciousness. (Stress is something that is impossible to resolve.)

It could be due to the strain on relying in her right eye for sight at extended periods of time which causes her headaches.
Another could be the lenses on the eyewear is not well done; not being given the right prescription by a proper opthalmologist.

It's important to say that tinnitus is a symptom and not a disease. Some people will have tinnitus because their Cochlea is damaged. And in a few, it could be caused due to hearing loss. But of course, the most common cause of tinnitus is exposure to loud noises. The noise can be a sudden burst, or it could be a constant banging that hits the ear drum and travels inside.
A good guide you can read about tinnitus and some good natural remedies can be found here: http://tinnitus.toptips.org

I would raise this point to the doctor. The problem may be with her equilibrium and seeing things in 2D instead of 3D with 2 eyes.

she's having eye strain. whenever she wears the eyepatch on her left eye, her right eye is trying to compensate and is causing strain. Let her doctor (both pediatrician and optomoetrist)know.
