I am trying to help out a friend who wants to create photo-realistic floorplans of apartments. She is looking for something similar to this: http://www.archiform3d.com/portfolios-architectural-renderings-video-website/castlebar-3d-architectural-rendering-gallery.htm
What software is used to create these renderings? Also is there a consumer-level version of the software?
Another version of a 3D floorplan which is not photo-realistic but would work for her purposes is this: http://www.cranedigital.com/html/services/index.html
I realize the output is in Flash, but what software was used to create the 3D effect?

Thanks in advance!

Vectorworks Architect can create photo-realistic effects like those in Archiform. Vectorworks 12 supports 3D.
Here you can see some examples: http://www.nemetschek.net/gallery/index.php
And some prices: http://www.needsoftware.com/academic-software-nemetschek-vectorworks-architect-and-renderworks.html?OVRAW=vectorworks%20architect&OVKEY=vectorworks%20architect&OVMTC=standard
